Michael Torres

Michael Torres, professionally known as Coach, has spent more than two decades helping individuals perform with purpose in demanding environments. His experience spans military service, elite coaching, leadership, competitive performance, and personal development.

As a 33rd Generation Shaolin Warrior Monk who was given the name Shì Yǒngbó by his Master (Shifu), Shifu Xinglin, Michael represents a generational lineage of the Shaolin Temple in China. The name given by his Shifu, meaning “widely knowing,” reflects his continuous curiosity to study and accumulate knowledge across diverse but related topics. He brings this knowledge together through the MP-OS series and beyond through courses and private mentorship.

Throughout his professional career Michael has been recognized and sought after for his expertise and leadership, with multiple accommodations in the U.S. Army, including personal recognition from the Secretary of Defense. He has been featured in national media such as Marie Claire and Fitness magazines, and on NBC Sports as a Performance Director for motorcycle road racing. His expertise in sport performance development has also been featured in both Spanish and Italian media. He has consulted for blue-chip companies such as Accenture, and his athletes have won national and world championship titles. Today, alongside his continued study of traditional Martial Arts and Chinese Philosophy, he also mentors young athletes.
